We want to say thank you for an amazing Summer Reading Program this year. All of the bright shining faces at each event brought us so much joy!
We are so excited about the attendance we experienced during our programs at Summer Reading this year. We always want the public library in each town to be an important part of the community.
Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers) once said,
“Reading gives children a place to go when they have to stay where they are.”
This year, our programs were full of excitement, learning, and unforgettable moments!
Tommy the Terrific Magic Show brought laughter and excited eyes with every new trick he showed us!
Wild Ones Ranch Petting Zoo gave us the chance to meet incredible animals—especially the kangaroo that stole everyone’s heart. Which was your favorite?
Manila Theater performed a beautiful play about a librarian learning how to really read a book—and we did too!
Professor Universe took us on a wild ride through the ocean and deep into the imagination-we’re still wondering about that date with the mermaid!
Creepy Crawlers dared us to get hands-on with all kinds of creatures—and yes, kids held a real hissing cockroach (even though the adults were too scared!).
Our libraries were filled with laughter and excitement again—and that’s exactly how we like it. Sometimes a library shouldn’t be just quiet, but alive with energy, filled with children, moms, and dads sharing time together. We believe a library should be more than just books. Our libraries offer a wide variety of services, including fun programs, technology access, and hands-on learning for all ages, not to mention a few library pets you can visit and fall in love with.
We want to make the library your favorite place to go.
One of our favorite things to hear is when a parent says,
“My child begs every day to come visit the library.” That tells us we’re doing something right.
Thank you to every family who participated, to every child who walked through our doors with laughter in their eyes, and to all the staff and volunteers who made this possible.
We can’t wait for next summer—but until then, we hope you keep visiting and keep reading.
The next adventure is just a page away.
