Church Donates Funds for Hunger Relief

The #BlythevilleBranch of #yourMCLS is honored to be chosen as a recipient of grant funding through the The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas . Blytheville First United Methodist Church applied for the grant and partners with the library to help feed local children and families.

The Blytheville Library currently partners with First United Methodist Church and New Mt. Olive Church to provide a hot lunch every weekday for students. These students use the library to attend virtual school; they work hard on their assignments all day, but do not receive a lunch. Grant funding will be used to supplement this feeding program and continue to provide for customers who live with hunger.
